We often place traditional braces using light-force wires for adolescent patients and almost never utilize teeth extractions, headgear, spacers, or separators. We also have a wide collection of rubber band colors available for your child’s braces so they can straighten their teeth according to their individual taste. We generally aim to complete a child’s orthodontic treatment plan within one to two years.
Adult Orthodontics
For adult patients who require orthodontics, our dentists are thrilled to offer some of the most inconspicuous teeth-straightening systems available. These options include clear aligners as well as braces with thin, tooth-colored wires, allowing them to blend in with your natural enamel. In some cases, these braces can better allow our dentists to refine the positioning of your teeth as treatment progresses. SureSmile®
Like Invisalign®, SureSmile® is a cutting-edge orthodontic treatment that uses a series of thin, clear aligners to gradually straighten your teeth and bite. This system offers all the advantages of invisible and removable braces, including inconspicuous treatment and the ability to eat without restriction. SureSmile® also often straightens teeth faster than metal braces, and may require fewer dental appointments. Our dentists can repair many orthodontic concerns with SureSmile®, including underbites, overbites, crowding, and crooked or misaligned teeth.
Bioliner Plus™ System
Patients who seek an inconspicuous way to straighten their teeth may have another treatment option in the form of the Bioliner Plus™ Clear Aligner System. This innovative process uses a unique two-tray-per-aligner approach to gently guide teeth into the proper positioning at a rate of 1.5 mm of movement per aligner compared to the 0.25 mm per aligner that is typical of other tooth straightening technologies. Depending on your concerns, this can result in a faster treatment time in relation to other orthodontic systems.
The secret to Bioliner Plus™ is an EVA insert placed in one tray (“tray-A”) that allows delicate and continuous motion of teeth, while addressing issues in the lower anterior and upper lateral rotations commonly experienced with other clear aligners. After “tray-A” is worn for approximately two to three weeks, the second tray without an EVA insert— “tray-B”—is worn for one to two weeks to finish the process before the next series is ordered (if necessary). After treatment is complete, the final “tray-B” aligner can even be used as a retainer for up to two years.
