Technology has changed dentistry completely. It is completely different than it was just a few years ago. For instance CEREC is a new technology that allows us to make porcelain restorations on teeth in just one visit. The way it was before as we prepare a tooth and we take an impression and make a temporary and then the patient will come back several weeks later to have the tooth cemented in place. Now with CEREC in about 90% of the cases, we can make an impression with a computer and make the restoration within 15 minutes and have the patient out the door in one visit with a brand new porcelain tooth. So it is a very nice technology. It saves the patient from having to come back in our office a second time and it is a wonderful result, very cosmetic and life like and excellent restoration.
