Laboratory-Crafted Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers created in a dental lab are truly the ultimate in beauty, durability, and esthetics. Veneers are thin shells custom-crafted from high quality porcelain to fit directly over your teeth. Veneers can mask a range of dental flaws, from stains to cracks and chips. Amazingly, Dr. Griffin can also use porcelain veneers for "instant orthodontics," to straighten the appearance of crooked or misaligned teeth, and even to mend bite inconsistencies.
Porcelain veneers require at least two visits to Eureka Smile Center to be properly fitted. On your first visit, we will discuss your smile makeover goals and work together to formulate a plan. Then, Dr. Griffin and your smile makeover team will file down a small portion of the surface of your teeth to prepare them for your porcelain veneers. Next, we will take an impression of your teeth, to be sent to our expert dental laboratory. You will be fitted with natural looking temporaries while our lab technicians custom-craft your new smile.
At Eureka Smile Centers, we are proud to use the finest dental laboratories in the nation. Our cosmetic technicians will handcraft your teeth, so you can be assured that they will be a perfect match for you in shape, size, and color. Once your porcelain veneers are ready, Dr. Griffin will painstakingly fit them over your teeth. The result will be absolutely stunning—teeth that are perfectly shaped and dazzlingly white. Though porcelain veneers custom-crafted in a dental laboratory require a larger investment than our other smile makeover options, they are superior to all other restorations in durability, quality, and artistry.
Composite Bonding
Composite bonding produces lovely results, yet is the most economical way to make a great change in your smile. Usually patients require no anesthetic as a composite material is
formed directly on their teeth to create natural looking restorations
in just one visit to our office.
Composite is a material made of a plastic matrix with glass particles and is artistically sculpted to your teeth in a single appointment. We can match the color of your teeth almost perfectly or we can lighten the color to brighten your smile. Spaces are easily closed, discolored areas corrected, and length restored onto worn teeth easily and often without the need for anesthetic.
While composite bonding is a natural looking and affordable smile restoration technique, it is also more prone to chips, cracks, and discoloration than the other options available to you at Eureka Smile Center. For this reason, bonding may not be the best option for those of our patients who grind or clench their teeth, or who have bite irregularities. However, the composite restorations are easily repaired and modified, and with proper care they can keep you grinning in style for years to come.
CEREC® 3D
At Eureka Smile Center, we are proud to feature one of the most exciting recent advances in cosmetic dentistry as part of our smile makeover system. CEREC® 3D, or Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, is an innovative new system that allows Dr. Griffin to custom-create porcelain restorations right here at Eureka Smile Center, at the rate of about an hour per tooth. This means that, in many cases, our smile makeover team is able to restore your smile with custom-crafted crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays in just one visit!
The first step in your smile makeover with the CEREC® 3D system is to meet with Dr. Griffin and discuss your goals for your smile restoration. Then, Dr. Griffin will use a state-of-the-art digital camera to take an impression of your teeth, which the CEREC® 3D computer system will use to create a customized shape and color for your restorations, ensuring a precise fit and natural appearance. Finally, Dr. Griffin will fit, bond, and polish your new replacement tooth, and you are ready to enjoy a beautifully transformed smile!

Orthodontics

Tooth Whitening
Perhaps the fastest and most cost effective way to turn a nice smile into a radiant, traffic-stopping smile is professional bleaching. There are many factors that can contribute to yellow, brown, or gray stains on the teeth. Most of us know that dark beverages like coffee, tea, sodas, and even wine can stain teeth. Another common cause of dental stains is nicotine. However, many patients do not know that poor nutrition can cause stains, as can some medications, like tetracycline. A stained smile can make a person look years older than he or she is, and can even give the impression that he or she is hygienically remiss. Zoom!®
For the convenience of our patients and to help them achieve maximum tooth whitening results, we offer both in-office and at-home versions of the Zoom!® tooth brightening system. Zoom!® is an incredibly rapid way to get your teeth shades whiter in about 90 minutes, and is so effective it is the featured bleach on the television series "Extreme Makeover." When you come in to Dr. Griffin’s office to have your teeth whitened using this system, he will first apply a gel composed primarily of hydrogen peroxide to your teeth. He will then expose your teeth to a high-intensity light which works with the gel to bleach stains away. In just one office visit, you will notice dramatically whiter, brighter teeth!
If you prefer to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home, Dr. Griffin will be happy to supply you with the Zoom!® in-home whitening kit. This kit includes a set of custom-fitted trays that you can fill with a special gel and wear for a few hours a day. In only three days, your teeth will be dramatically whiter!
Nite White Turbo®
Nite White Turbo® is a fairly new bleaching concept that bleaches teeth more rapidly than traditional at-home systems. In as few as three nights and up to one week, patients who use the Nite White Turbo® system at home obtain glowingly white teeth. This is by far the fastest way to bleach your teeth in the comfort of your own home. While the speed and convenience of the Nite White Turbo® whitening system are remarkable, the best part of this system is that users experience almost no hypersensitivity after using it, unlike other systems that can leave teeth vulnerable to temperature change.
Other Tooth Whitening Options
At Eureka Smile Center we also offer Nite White® and Day White® tooth whitening systems for our patients to use at home. These systems are only available from a qualified dentist. To use Nite White® and Day White®, Dr. Griffin will take a mold of your teeth and use it to create a tray custom-fitted to your mouth. Patients who prefer to bleach their teeth while they sleep with Nite White® will wear the trays filled with a special bleaching gel all night. For patients who are uncomfortable sleeping with bleaching trays in their mouths, the Day White® system offers comparable results and is used for only 40 minutes a day. While these bleaching systems may take up to three weeks for optimal results to be seen, they are more affordable than other tooth whitening methods available at Dr. Griffin’s office.
